The Malaysian Smart school reform which was implemented in 1999 aimed to produce students who are self-dependent learners with collaborative and critical thinking skill in a technologically-enriched environment. To meet this goals, the Ministry of Education has provide Smart school with ICT infrastructure, a system that links school and it coordinators. However, after more than a decade, little success has been reported in achieving the goal of the reform.
